宫喜（张国立 饰）苦熬多年，眼看副科长要“扶正”，还没来的及高兴，家庭危机已悄然临近。妻子艾娇娇（王雅婕 饰）一个电话把他催回家，不问三七二十一就是一通数落，宫喜跪在地上擦地板，楞是没脾气。艾娇娇当年是校花级美女，身后的追求者不下一个加强连，但她谁也没看上，“下嫁”给了一文不名但胸怀大志的穷小子宫喜。经过多年机关的生活磨练，宫喜早没了当年的雄心和锐气，而事业上风声水起的艾娇娇越来越看不上平庸窝囊的宫喜，她提出了离婚，饱受压抑的宫喜同意离婚，但他提出儿子灯灯（崔璨 饰）饰）的抚养权归他......。绝世高手傅红雪（狄龙 饰）和燕南飞（罗烈 饰）在比武过程中遭遇顶尖杀手的袭击，他们躲过接二连三的暗算，终于从明月心（恬妮 饰）的口中知晓了幕后黑手的真实身份，那就是妄图称霸武林的公子羽。为了对抗公子羽，二人结伴前往孔雀山庄去取兵器谱排名第一的孔雀翎，而得知消息的公子羽也再度派出杀手截杀二人。绝世兵器给孔雀山庄带来了血腥灾难。围绕孔雀翎和第一高手的名头，不断有人丧失性命。而在这一过程中，傅红雪也发现了公子羽背后的秘密…… 本片根据武侠小说名家古龙的经典名作改编。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
