《内裤队长》讲述了两个早熟的四年级小学生——乔治·比尔德（George Beard）和哈罗德·哈钦斯（Harold Hutchins）利用催眠术把他们的讨厌校长本尼·克鲁普（Benny Krupp）先生变成了穿着内裤的超人——“内裤队长”！这个内裤超人对孩子们很友善，总是能帮他们摆脱各种麻烦，但一旦恢复清醒，就会忘了自己作为“内裤队长”所做过的事情。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
