Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。身着一身白西装的戴夫看起来是个彬彬有礼的中年人，虽然身处现代纽约的他总显得和这个年代、这个大都市格格不入，但谁能想到，这个看起来非常真实的“人”其实是一架人形飞船，身体里住着许多四分之一英寸高的外星小人，他们来到地球，想寻求解救自己星球的方法，不料却先在让飞船适应地球生活上经受了极大的考验，惹了一堆麻烦之后，谁想到飞船竟然自主爱上了一个美丽的地球女人吉娜，外星小人们偏轨的航线越来越难调正……。一个倒霉到家的少年野上良太郎，因为意外被不良少年们缠上，也因此无意间捡到了叶奈所遗失的通行证，路上又被异魔神悄悄附身。机缘巧合下良太郎打开了通往时间列车的门，并且遇上了列车员直美却觉得没有异状..... 之后叶奈告诉良太郎关于特异点以及电王的事情，他们遇上了被异魔神附身的不良少年...良太郎与众异魔神共同战斗、搞笑、悲伤的故事就从一句"本大爷登场"展开。。
